Can I come and visit the Rescue Centre and look for an animal?

The Animal Rescue Centre itself is not open to visitors, except by prior appointment when adopting an animal from us.

There are several reasons for this, but the main one is the stress and disruption that can be caused to the animals. While the animals are with us, we and they feel this is their home, and just as with pets in established homes, it can be distressing to have strangers walking around, particularly when many animals have suffered disruption and trauma before arriving at the Centre.

Are there any rules about whether someone can adopt an animal?

We don’t have a specific set of rules about who can adopt from us. What we aim to do is assess each potential home according to the animal being adopted and their particular needs.

How much does it cost to adopt an animal?

We do not sell animals, as we believe they are beyond a monetary value. But when adopting, we do invite you to make a donation of your choice toward the care of other animals at the Centre.

What should I do if I am unable to keep my adopted animal?

Please contact us straight away to discuss the problems and we will help find the best outcome.
